Depending on the need of the client hydrotherapy is incorporated during the session to relieve pain or stress to a certain area of the body. Heat increases blood flow which is one of our bodies natural healing medicines. The nerves receive impulses through the skin once heat or cold is applied then sending stimulation deeper into the body lessening pain sensitivity. Heat is generally used for reducing pain from chronic disease or illness whereas cold is generally used for reducing inflammation due to injury or strain. Ice compression can also be used for reducing headache pain.
Aromatherapy will be provided free of charge during each session. The use of essential oils has been proven to stimulate our limbic system, which is the part of our brain that allows us to experience moods, emotions, memory and learning. Clients can either experience the benefits of aromatherapy either by absorption with the use of aromatherapy creams or oils or simply by inhalation.
